Our project emphasizes “learning by doing” by enabling direct student engagement with research at and on the university. Several members of the University Worlds research group run ongoing courses through which this engagement is fostered. These courses include: Anthropology of Transnationalism, Geographies of Education, and Ethnography of the University.
Each course generates original insight into the University of Toronto. Importantly, the courses allow students to undertake research, often for the first time, on an annual theme and topic of their choice, under the guidance of the instructor.
If you run a similar course at your own institution and would like its content to be hosted here as a resource for others, please contact us.
