I am Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning at UT St George, and a 2016 Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Fellow. My research concerns the intersections of infrastructure, race and urban space. I am the author of The Deadly Life of Logistics (University of Minnesota Press 2014), and Military Workfare (UTP 2008), and coeditor of War Citizenship, Territory (Routledge 2008) Digital Life in the Global City: Contesting Infrastructures (forthcoming, UBC Press).
My contribution to University Worlds concerns histories and practices of activism on and off campus on issues of race, equity and diversity, and the intersections of feminist, queer and antiracist politics. I will also draw on my experience as a collaborator on the Emmy award winning participatory and interactive HIGHRISE media project to contribute to research communications
